The Pagosa Area Trails Council is a 501c3 Non Profit Organization engaged in Planning, Building, and Maintaining Trails and Trail Related Facilities in approximately 2,255 square miles of territory around the town of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The Council is run completely by volunteers, and has no employees.
Develop a trails plan for the area served by the Trails Council.
Build out the Pagosa Hut and Trail System.
Develop an area wide integrated trail system for recreation and alternate transportation.
Update the Trails System in the National Forest to reflect current and future needs.
Link all the trails systems.
Involve Youth Corps and similar organizations in trail construction.
