Pagosa Springs Instrumental Music Society
(PSIMS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. PSIMS is dedicated to
enriching the lives of our Community through Instrumental Music in a variety of
forms. The Community Band performs 3 Concerts a year. The Fall Concert allows
our members to perform music of many different genres; including, Marches,
movie music, and Concert Band literature of the last Century. The 4th of July
Concert brings out the best of Patriotic music in an outdoor setting for all to
enjoy. And last, but not least, Band-O-Rama allows the Instrumental students of
our area to perform alongside our Community Band members, many of whom are
professional musicians.
“The Heralds of Christmas” is PSIMS’s beautiful
Chamber Music concert that St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church hosts annually.
“Heralds” is so well-loved that two performances are now required to meet the
demand.
PSIMS is devoted to financially supporting Music Education in the Pagosa
Springs community; whether it be in our public/private schools or our devoted
private lesson studios. Our goal is to give every instrumental student an
opportunity to succeed in Music.
